Annual General Meeting

Dear Member,

You are cordially invited to join the Committee of the New World Theatre Club for our Annual General Meeting. This year it will be held on 28 June 2010 at 19:30 in Room A11, Abbaye de Neumünster, in the Grund.

The Annual General Meeting elects the committee and examines the finances of the club. Please do try to come. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please fill in the Proxy Voting Form (attached), so that a friend who is a member can vote on your behalf – your votes are very important to us. At least 15% of the membership must be present, or represented by proxy, for a quorum at the General Assembly. Each member can only act as proxy for one other member.  Please mail your proxy forms to 7, rue Jean-Pierre Sauvage, L-2514 Luxembourg, or have your designated proxy bring it with them to the meeting.

The statutes of the New World Theatre Club state that the club is administered by a committee and that this committee is responsible for all aspects of the club administration that are not already assigned to the General Assembly by law or statute.  The committee then chooses amongst its members a President, a Secretary and a Treasurer, and establishes internal regulations to ensure its good functioning. We are always keen to welcome new members, either for a specific function or for more general tasks. This year three or four members of the committee are stepping down, including the Secretary and Membership Secretary. If you would like to volunteer, or to nominate someone else, to be a committee member (and/or to fill one of one of these posts) please fill in the attached nomination form.

Only fully paid-up members of the club are allowed to speak and vote at the AGM (although anyone who is interested is welcome to attend). If your membership has lapsed recently you can renew it by transferring the appropriate fee (Individual € 15.00; Couple € 25.00; Family € 30.00; Student €8.00) to the NWTC account, IBAN LU80 0030 0960 1115 0000 (BIC: BGLLLULL).
