Playwright and director, Finding Sophie

Originally from Liverpool, England, Janice is an international theatre director / movement director/writer, with over 20 years’ professional experience in British and European companies and venues. Work has included classics, new writing, devised, pantomime and musicals. She works freelance and has held Associate Director positions throughout a wide range of English theatre and her experience ranges from small-scale to national organisations. Janice has been a LEATSS tutor several times, last attending in 2015. She is also a qualified counsellor.

She has also been involved in:

  • Directing and course work in nationally recognised drama schools.

  • Delivery of development and training programmes for performers and creatives.

  • Dramaturgy experience.

  • Script writing (over 10 professional pantomimes, and 3 musicals produced.)

  • Site specific productions.

  • Work with people with SLD, and dance therapy experience.

  • Work with Creative Partnerships, and development and delivery of many educational programmes.

  • Work in forum, extended roleplay, mask and large-scale puppets.
