 How we started

NWTC consists of theatre enthusiasts representing many cultures, nationalities and ages. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience.  The working language is English.  Currently we have about 150 members. Aside from treading the boards, members are involved in all aspects of putting on shows (including directing) and running the Club.

It all started in 1968, when a few members of the British Luxembourg Society wanted to start a dedicated theatrical group.  In the first two years three productions were put on ("The Importance of Being Ernest", "Our Town" and "Joan") and included Peter Davies, Irene Lowry and  Paul Reiles.  A series of "Follies" soon followed, enticing Hilary Guerra to join up ...

Soon after it all began in 1968...
