Luuk Wildshcut
About Luuk
My name is Luuk Wildschut and I work as theatre pedagogue and director in Luxembourg. My passion for theatre dates back to my early youth. I was professionally educated as a theatre teacher at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands, where I’m originally from. The studies familiarized me with a range of practical ways to be active within the theatre field, such as acting, directing, teaching and producing. After my Bachelor degree I decided to pursue my Master degree in Theatre and Interculturality at the University of Luxembourg, which I have by now obtained. Within these studies I have developed a more theoretical level. Also, I got the chance to gain experience in the field of Dramaturgy. I’m currently studying Philosophy at the same university. I’m combining my studies with several teaching and directing jobs in the area. I am fluent in Dutch, English and German. As a teacher I’m interested in working with more open or post-dramatic forms of theatre.
This years’ NWTC Youth Group
This season I’m working with the group on several aspects of theatre, which include improvisation, sincere acting, text and film. The research that we are doing evolves around the question: What is the difference between acting on stage and acting in front of a camera? The final share will be presented as a collage, in which we share the work that we’ve been doing in the workshops. We will show it in an experimental form, which we will create together.
Proposed date and time for the Share:
28 March, 19-21 o’clock (19-20 Group A, 20-21 Group B)
